Typographia gathers a group of creative people aiming to develop an original approach to T-shirt design, craft, and print process. The project started in 2010 and the first Typographia store opened in 2013 in Lisbon. The original designs were so cherished that we decided to extend the project to other cities, such as: Porto, Barcelona, Madrid, Palma and Granada. Later, the t-shirts were also available in some of the greatest museums. Typographia t-shirts have an organic design and are made mainly from cotton, also organic. The t-shirts are silk-screened and digitally printed with water-based tints for a most nature friendly approach.
This is a selection of versatile projects from the wide range of techniques: graphic design, illustration, photo collage, infographic, typography and comics. The themes, also variable, are from popular culture; movies, videogames, music; and local (e.g., Lisbon); food, art, architecture, literature, ecology, zeitgeist... Always intending to communicate a story or send a message, most of the times with a profound sense of humor.
